Another brilliant piece by Elena! Fun short piece with great teaching material: chromatic, chords and inversions, harmonic progressions, L.H. crossing. My elementary students will love this. Thank you!

A simple one page piece that will appeal to your students. The right hand features an easy to play I -IV-V chord progression with minor iv thrown in. This is underpinned with a descending chromatic line in the left hand. The effect gives a contemporary sound that your students will love. Elena offers a lot of supporting materials to aid teachers including suggestions for amplifying the bass line.

I am sure this piece will appeal to my young student who has just started using the pedal. The descending chromatic pattern in the left hand will also be great to reinforce the fingering of chromatic scales. Thank you for the tutorial about improvisation possibilities for this piece.

This piece sounds amazing and works on a number of technical skills, but is not especially difficult to play. It gives elementary students a chance to learn/practise pedal technique and left hand over, while playing octave chords. I have yet to find anyone who doesn’t love it!

I’m really looking forward to teaching it to more students in the future.

This piece sounds really impressive for a late elementary pupil, especially with the use of the pedal and the improvisation tips in the tutorial. It is also a great teaching piece with the descending chromatic bass, simple chord progression, and comfortable hand position throughout.

Milky Way manages to evoke the mystery of space in a way that is appealing to young students. With the backing track it reminds me very much of the instrumental piece Telstar, which was a major hit in the late sixties! I have a particular pupil in mind for Milky Way. I know he is going to be very proud to be able to play it at the next recital!

My students love to play songs with backing tracks! I just got this piece and know several of my students will want to learn it when they hear me play it. 🙂

A fantastic sounding piece and I love the backing tracks. It sounds like film music! This will be really engaging for students. I think it will help them to understand chord progressions and maybe even think of ideas to make variations to make it their own. Thank you Elena 🙂

A beautiful haunting piece that is surprisingly simple and easy to play. It sounds lovely all on its own but when you have introduce the improv ideas from the tutorial it is suddenly powerful and dramatic. A wonderful way to introduce improvisation into the lesson! Thank you Elena!

Small but perfect! One can teach a lot of chords, inversions, bass line, Pedal together with rotations in the right hand. And – it sounds beatiful!

This is a great piece that can be picked up quite quickly. I love the descending LH & use it to encourage my pupils to improvise their own ‘space-y’ RH over the top.

It’s an interesting one page piece in G major for late elementary level with contemporary sound, chromatic pattern, simple chords, L.H crossing .

This is a wonderfully relaxing piece for elementary level students, especially with the backing track! A very somber piece that helps them control tempo!

Short and sweet with just the right amount of challenge. I hate to be gender specific, but this one was a favorite of a tween boy.

What fun! Great song for teaching chromatic, also working on counting of 4 in a steady pattern. Students will also love using pedal and crossing the hands! So…. dramatic!
