Elena Cobb Star Prize performers Profiles

As the preparation for the first Elena Cobb Star Prize Winners Concert and Showcase Recital at the Royal Albert Hall is underway, I am starting a new chapter and will be sharing with you performances and stories about students (and their teachers) who won their place or are invited to perform at the Winners Concert and Showcase Recital at the Royal Albert Hall in London on April, 5th, 2018.

Lauren Lo, USA

It is always a happy occasion for me when a young student is performing in concert and I am especially delighted that Lauren Lo, winner of the Featured Composer category at the Carmel Klavier International piano competition 2017 (USA), will be playing for us at the Elena Cobb Star Prize event at the Royal Albert Hall (Elgar Room) on 5 April. Students from the Doremeforme Piano Studio, Florida, USA

Three young and talented pianists from the sunny Boynton Beach in South Florida, USA will be joining an International team of performers at the Royal Albert Hall in London on April 5 at 11 o’clock. Masha Smelik (12 yo), Reid Collins (24 yo) and Jude Fradillada (13 yo) are all students of Kay Lang and currently attend piano lessons at the Doremiforme Piano studio. Continue reading here >

 Julia Meyerding, (12 yo), Germany

Julia is a talented young musician and pianist from Friedberg, Germany. She was born in November 2005 in Bad Nauheim. Julia discovered her love for playing the piano at the age of five when she began her piano lessons at the Musikschule Minz with Irina Mints. Read more > 

Alanna Crouch, (10 yo), United Kingdom

I met Alanna back in 2014 when I was looking for a student to help me with my workshop Improvisation for the Classically Trained Pianists at the MusicExpo. The presentation was listed in Top Five by the International Piano magazine that year. We kept in touch ever since. Read more >  

Ban Yakoubov (14yo), Israel
